Ingredient & Formulation Intelligence
Check whether a specific ingredient from a specific supplier is approved by each certification body you work with. Then run a complete formulation against every standard you hold — halal, kosher, organic, food safety — and surface every conflict before production. One tool for ingredient queries and full formulation analysis.
The problem
You're reformulating a product. You need to know whether the gelatin you're sourcing from a specific Brazilian supplier is on JAKIM's approved list. What documentation JAKIM requires. Whether BPJPH accepts the same supplier. Whether IFANCA has a different position on the source material. Today, you email the certification body and wait.
Then the full formulation: a product compliant under IFANCA may not be under JAKIM if JAKIM takes a stricter position on alcohol residues in vanilla extract. You only find out at audit — when it's expensive. Ingredient lookup and formulation checking are two modes of the same problem.
At the ingredient level, the platform lets you search by ingredient name, supplier, and plant of origin, then see approval status across multiple certification bodies simultaneously. Where bodies take different positions on the same ingredient — differing jurisprudential views on source material, different documentation requirements between JAKIM and BPJPH — those differences are surfaced with the specific rationale, not just a pass/fail flag.
For full formulations, you input each ingredient with its supplier and source details, then run the formulation against every active certification simultaneously: halal, kosher, organic, BRCGS. Each conflict is shown at the ingredient level with a body-specific explanation, so R&D can make a targeted substitution rather than rework the entire recipe. Reports generated from this analysis are formatted for audit documentation.
Formulations are saved and re-checked automatically when certification body positions update — so a formulation that passed last quarter gets flagged if a body revises its position on an ingredient it contains.
